Question for you. I'm printing this file from do3d right now. Did you print the tiny little gauntlet layers on the inside of the fingers? Im having a hard time getting the entire thing to fit properly.
Its been a while since updating. Ive been moving across the state so its been a nightmare to work on anything in the meantime.
I have the majority of the face mask printed and I am working on sanding and prepping for paint. Im really happy with how it turned out, considering I myself designed...
These guys have been pretty great to work with. Ive commissioned a few models from them and they always provide updated files. I think they do some excellent work. Ive always had quick response so I don't know whats going on there.
Doom Arm Armor is here! Overall Im pretty impressed. Its regal and real steel, and looks the part. Its pretty heavy and Im sure my arms are going to be exhausted by the end of the convention. For those interested in purchasing, this is where I bought them...
So I have been lurking for quite a while. Ive learned and progressed a lot in the costuming/prop building community due to the amazing builders on this site. Im finally starting my own thread! I have a con in Salt Lake City coming up in September, and will be doing a custom designed and built...

This is awesome. Im actually just starting a Dr. Doom build. its going to be a little bit interpretive of what i would like it to look like but Im getting excited. As a suggestion for Body Armor, Im actually buying real renaissance replica knight armor. the arms are $135 and the legs will be...
This looks great! I was the original person who comissioned do3d to make the gauntlet. Ironically I havent had the chance to finish it yet. I had found problems with the guantlet's thickness in areas, but I'll be starting that prop again soon. Looks fantastic!
I currently have mine fixed to the wall using small hooks. I want to build a classy shadow box for it that I have designed here. Im working with another RPFer to get this design made, should be done in a few months.
Ive been printing in ABS on a Da Vinci Pro. Ive had pretty good success, no warping. I dont have even that high of settings, I just rub my elbows in and get it sanded down.
I think the proportion is dead on. The mk 46 is very organic and form fitting, so I think it looks great. Im just jealous you're skinny enough to fit in the build. I'll need to work on that.
As someone who isn't incredible with making things look perfect, I always resort to battle damage to hide and accentuate ACTUAL damage or imperfections. This 3D Print is the first time I'm trying to get a "perfect" looking Iron Man suit, but still might do very slight weathering around the...
