Haha yeah. I found that one out the hard way when I tried to fix a short while wearing my costume. I had electrical tape around the connection, but I apparently didn't use enough.

That's what I thought. I didn't think it was all that different from my el wire inverters but I wanted to double check. It would have been much easier to say, "batteries not included." :lol Ok then, second question: Would I be able to hook this up to a LiIon battery without lighting myself...

Hey everyone. Question for those that have used the inverters from luminous film: They mention that a VAC to VDC power supply isn't included. Is this a fancy pants way of saying, "battery" or is this some other component I need to get?

I ordered 4 reels of 5 meters which is slightly over 65 feet, though my estimated usage is around 53 feet split between three battery packs. The packs are 12v already, so no worry about that. These are the packs I have which is why I said I needed 9v connectors, so apologies if it caused...

Question for the more electrically inclined than I: My Clu costume is currently lit with el wire, which is powered by three inverters/8 AA battery packs. I'm going to swap out the wire for SMD LED strips, so my question is whether or not it's ok to run the LED strips off the inverter as well...

I did size it for my head, but didn't leave too much room on the sides so it wouldn't be too bobble headed. It wasn't bad till I hardened it with paper mache and joint compound, but that's oversight on my part. This is only the second helmet I've made.

I have that pep file too and it was way too big for my head as well. It's not 100% accurate, but I'll use pieces of it for my helmet remake since I can't see very well out of the one I made and the opening for my head is a bit too small so it's painful to take on and off which is no fun when...
