Recycling your old urethane molds and resin cast parts!

Hey, thanks for the input! I don't want to crap up this thread with replies to every comment, so I'll put them all in here: Cutting them into little chunks works great, if 1)you have time to cut 50lbs of urethane rubber into .75"x.75" cubes. It's doubly hard if your molds are thicker than .75"...

Recycling your old urethane molds and resin cast parts!

So I'm starting to accumulate a lot of one-time use molds. Some projects I've done, I've needed 4 or 5 two part molds, one for each stage of casting/cleaning/polish. I've ended up with a LOT of cured urethane rubber molds that I no longer need, and I'm looking for ways to try to recycle it into...

Replica Prop Assistance (Metal Casting With PlatSil Silicone Molds?)

If you're looking for an alternative to real metal foundry work, cold casting metal is fun and a bit easier than pouring molten metal. I've used the smooth on nickel silver powder with smooth cast 325 and it gives the piece a hefty weight and a metallic real metallic finish. There's multiple...

Weta - Dr Grordbort's Custom Raygun Contest! - SHOW OFF YOUR CONCEPTS AND DESIGNS!

Re: Weta - Dr Grordbort's Custom Raygun Contest! - SHOW OFF YOUR CONCEPTS AND DESIGNS LOVE IT! That's the design theme I was going for too: the 1920s era Buck Rogers atomizing ray gun look. Somebody months ago in this thread commented that "more is less" with the Bison and there's a...

    Nerf Gun Props? YES!

Finished my Fallout: New Vegas mod for the Nerf Longstrike. It's 60" long and a pain in the butt to photograph. Also, Photobucket doesn't seem to want to let me upload any images larger than this. Thanks, jerks, what do I have a paid account for then?

Hey, are you still available for converting 3d models to papercraft files? Also, can you recommend anyone who can offers papercraft armor services to do the reassembly? Seems like the people I know of who can fold paper are full up on commissions right now.

    Fallout 3 power aromor parts

That's some good looking detail for being vacuformed! Did you reinforce the plastic helmet with anything? It looks like you'd have to use a thin plastic to get those good angles.

    Nerf Gun Props? YES!

You should. Start looking at attaching more pieces to guns that aren't already too busy visually, and isolate and emphasize all the different parts on the guns that already have a lot going on. Like this one from the above article:
