Last thing before I say adios (again).  I'm sure if I had come here to post about a recast, the naysayers would have said 'Oh, I thought you had left?  But you still want to come and complain about recasts?  You can't have it both ways...you're either here or you aren't.'  Can't win on this one...

Just to pass this on, I head from tehel!te, and he said that he got the bio before finding the lair, and that the bio had originally came from chaucer44, who I'm sure many of us recognise as a notorious recaster, now mainly on ebay because he's been banned from just about everywhere.

Nice!  The tusks came out great with a bit of weathering.  Not personally a fan of the lense damage, I figure they'd swap them out, but if you like it, that's what actually counts...:)

Sorry I missed your PM on this mate...I like what you have.  It actually looks quite like the cold cast bronze version that I did.  The patina on it looks nice, not too much, but not so subtle that you can't really make it out.  In case it helps, here's a pic of my cold cast one:

Ok, so that doesn't look like one of my bios. Ron has sent me a pm, and he said that the bio was a bit of a mess, with long shards of glass sticking out that he had to remove because they were messing up his hands. It's nowhere near clean enough work for me to have sent it out to someone...

Well pal, you have picked the wrong place to try and pass this off as yours.  That's my bio.  I was given permission to mould it back in 1999, and that is what you have there.  There are some key tells, one being the shape of the eyes.  The right eye (as you look at it) has a lower, flatter...

Very nice, Phil. I've always thought the hero bio was much more of a gold colour than people think. The only critique I'd make (and it's about the sculpt more than anything) is that the hero bio has a much larger and rounder opening for the laser housing than the stunt does. When you look at...

Threw this one together today...another P1, but I ran out of my regular stuff, so I thought I'd try with just straight airbrushing. No sponges, no fancy chemicals, just an airbrush, and three different colours.

For a great shine before putting the chrome on, gloss black, then gloss clear, then T-cut black colour fast polish. Looks amazing. And as far as rattle cans go, I found the Krylon aluminium to be far better than their chrome, bizarrely.
