That's great info--thanks so much! I'm going to order a "Malice" hilt from ultrasabers (just what I was looking for), and I've reached out to Fierfek about some of his designs. I don't know anything about actually creating armor--that's WAY above my meager abilities--so I'll be looking for...
Hey all, I wasn't able to come up with much via search, but I'm curious as to whether or not anyone has produced any SWTOR-themed props? I'm particularly interested in Smuggler-style blasters, Trooper helmets (I know someone created one when the game first launched, but I can't find it now)...
Whatever the pedigree of that summary, I like it a lot and it all makes a lot of sense to me. Doesn't resolve my issue concerning the crap end for the MIB/smokey, but the afterlife stuff was great. Thanks for posting!
Well that's a very interesting (and valid) interpretation. Not one I subscribe to, but interesting. The idea of Jacob as a 4 year old with a loaded gun certainly calls to mind certain criticisms of 'God'. What kind of God lets bad things happen to good people, allows typhoons, hurricanes and...
The second Aaron birth happened in the sideways world, in which we've already determined she had to be present. Kate and Claire on the flight going home...the value of that moment is open to personal taste. I didn't really want anyone to make it off the island, personally. To me, the survival...
Well this is a fair point, and begs the question of how much of Jacob's power MIB shared. If we accept the premise that Jacob controls everything that happens on the island and that he has final say over who can find it and who can't, then why WAS he so adamant about MIB not being allowed to...
But Ben's not Jacob...I'm just saying that there's nothing to indicate that ANYTHING happened on the island that Jacob didn't anticipate, and possibly even manipulate into happening. Even his own death at Ben's hand seemed engineered (just as Mother seems to have engineered her own demise).
Well to be clear, sideways Kate of course needed to be there, but on the island she could easily have been killed off (as could Sawyer, Miles and every other non-essential member of the gang) and still made their necessary appearance in the church scene.
No way I'd argue about Kate rocking...
I COMPLETELY agree with this. I still wish for the LOTR ending where Ben plays the Gollum role of the character who, being inherently flawed, ends up doing the right thing for the wrong reason. If Ben shot Locke, even if he did so as an act of vengeance (which would be considered ignoble or...
Well that's where the writers gave themselves the ultimate get-out-of-jail-free card by giving themselves the 'God wills it' button. All of the instances you cite where someone was able to find the island 'on their own' could have just as easily been a case of Jacob's manipulation of events...
I wonder if he ever left the island, or if he was doing some sort of 'astral projection', possibly via the mirrors in his lighthouse. As we saw all throughout this season, mirrors seem to be the vehicle by which people can catch glimpses/feelings of other places/planes/realities, and each of...
I was fine with the afterlife-limbo-construct resolution. I had accepted that a long time ago, when Sayid made his deal with MIB because MIB promised that Sayid could 'see' Nadia again. Well, his sideways life took a bad turn there because, in siding with the Enemy, even briefly, he got...
Well I'm hugely stoked to be seeing the whole thing at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin. Tickets sold out a long time ago and are now going for $100+ on craigslist. It's a big happening...can't wait!!!!
