Thanks everyone. Something I learned in an art class in my 2nd year of college MANY years ago, has stuck with me: "a change in plane means a change in value." What that means is that even though something is one color, each "plane" or side will seem lighter or darker based on how light hits it...

Cool, Doc. I hope this helps you, even if just helping you figure out what NOT to use. I just found a new slightly-darker-than-aluminum paint by Glidden and did another swatch (see Group 6 above). I'm probably going to use this for the case/box. :)
