Armor - Attach belt to chestplate

You guys really want me to use that velcro, hm ? I never thought about using additional glue to attach the velcro but I might give this a try. From what I remember, shoegoo is kinda like a tougher E6000, so I might try that first. On the snaps: The armor is one layer of worbla black on top of...

Armor - Attach belt to chestplate

Not a big fan of velcro, even the industrial strength velcro sometimes uses crappy adhesive and I don't think it's gonna stick well on the fuzzy side of the leather belt that faces towards the armorplate anyways.

Armor - Attach belt to chestplate

I built this dwarf armor a while ago and after the first Con, I noticed some flaws in the armor build. The belt, if closed really tight, pulls on the front ridge of the chestplate, causing the worbla and EVA to bend and cause a dent where the belt buckle sits. I was thinking about attaching the...

Naked Snake/ Big Boss MGS 3 and Solid Snake MGS 1 simultaneous build (DONE)

Re: Naked Snake/ Big Boss MGS 3 and Solid Snake MGS 1 simultaneous build (WIP) Foam inlay for the bandana is a great idea. It's like, you put it on, bam ! Instant metal gear look. Good luck finishing the build in time, boss. It is our only home. Our heaven and our hell. This, is Outer Heaven

How to keep a costume cool?

Tried to find something similar a few days ago and found the cooling vests from glacier tek. They don't need external water supply but have some alien chemistry stuff going on. The vest cools itself down to 15 degrees celsius and can maintain that temperature in 38 degrees celsius for about 2...

Grommash Build. Last Page new pics of the silicone glove. 01/25/2017

Re: Grommash by Alphatech Last Page new bandolero updates. 06/26/16 What clay do you use ? It doesn't look like you need to bake it, right ? Making the mold case right with the sculpt is a nice idea, is the clay reusable afterwards ?

Dwarven Warrior of Erebor (Phase 1 complete) - The Hobbit

Re: Dwarven Warrior of Erebor (Testfit on page 3) - The Hobbit Finally found a good pic from last saturday. Of course, this is only phase1, I'm going to improve the tunic and add some more details

Dwarven Warrior of Erebor (Phase 1 complete) - The Hobbit

Re: Dwarven Warrior of Erebor (Testfit on page 3) - The Hobbit Thanks man, was nice meeting you, too. The dwarf made it through his first battle but not without some damage. The right hip armor ripped at the seam where it's attached to the chest piece. I need to reinforce the seam from the...

Dwarven Warrior of Erebor (Phase 1 complete) - The Hobbit

Re: Dwarven Warrior of Erebor (Testfit on page 3) - The Hobbit Thank you, I'm glad I didn't end up looking too bulky/skinny. Last missing item for the first run this weekend is done. I gotta admit I didn't check the reference pics often enough so I missed some details of the buckle. But it'll...

Dwarven Warrior of Erebor (Phase 1 complete) - The Hobbit

Re: Dwarven Warrior of Erebor - The Hobbit Final testfit. Tunic should be a little shorter and the shoulders need smaller straps so they rest on my own shoulders better. Almost ready for battle

Dwarven Warrior of Erebor (Phase 1 complete) - The Hobbit

Re: Dwarven Warrior of Erebor - The Hobbit And done. Sculpting. Helmet should be ready for painting in the next few days. What's left now is the belt buckle and some adjustments on the shoulder, because the helmet now blocks movement of my arms when I lift them up.
