the rest of the armour is going to probably be a fibreglass/bondo mixture. I would love to be able to get lightweight casts out of my stuff but its rather expensive and I'm not planning on making more than one pull. It's just the basic fit I'm after, there is going to be a lot of 3D detail...

very interesting BAK55, thankyou :). Spartan, the problem I have with making a mold of my own bust is that I am rather, erm, busty so I'm concerned about getting the cast the right shape. I think trial and error might just be the way to go here.

Ok, does anyone have any ideas about making a female breastplate, how to get moulds etc. I've been racking my brains.

That is pretty much what I want to do, something more realistic, like you would see in a movie or something. This build may take a while, seeing as I'm a bit of a newb, but I'll get there lol.

Another thing, this helmet is going to weight a ton :/

lol as it happens, she can't. She wears it to fight Medusa with so she doesn't accidentally look her in the eyes. I have, however, tried it on several times, it can be seen out of :)
