    Brisco County Jr Peacemaker Grips

I have made the 3D-scans of these grips available through github: GitHub - durgadas311/Brisco (actual download link is Index of /Brisco/Grips/3DScan) Hopefully, someone will have more luck than me printing these! Please keep me/us posted on any progress you make.

No, haven't been focused on it either. I think I will try out Jimmy Pierce Designs next, once I'm done with the grips.

That's excellent! I hope mine looks that good. Did you make that yourself?

No, I can't seem to find that post! Maybe the moderators haven't cleared it yet?

Unfortunately, no updates since early March (I have not asked since then). I know they are quite backlogged and am being patient. I originally placed the order and got on their list in late August, so I am hopeful they will be starting on it soon. The design has been worked out already, so I...

another possibility is to acquire some "spent brass" of .45 Colt, and then acquire a .45 jacked bullet - which looks pretty close already.I'm not experienced with reloading, but know that there are special tools for "cleanly" inserting a bullet into a shell casing, and other methods might cause...

    Brisco County Jr Peacemaker Grips

Yes, good catch on the grips being different in that scene. My suspicion is that it was required in order to rig it up to glow like it did, and they just couldn't - or didn't bother - to try and make "hollow" grips that precisely matched the normal ones. Back then, they would have had to do some...

    Brisco County Jr Peacemaker Grips

I've been working with the owner to try and solve this mystery. The only thing we know about the estate is that it was from (supposedly) a "Hollywood producer". The gun does not seem to trace back to the time that the show was being produced, but I'm currently testing the hypothesis that it...

I am hopeful that my order with Chisholm’s Trail Old West Leather is about to clear their backlog, so perhaps I'll be able to share some photos soon.

For the grips on the Umarex, I was thinking you could simply abandon the idea of actually shooting it and just install the grips as two-piece ones, using real hardware such as: Grip Screw & Escutcheon Set, Blued-Steel, Manufactured By Colt. I've even considered installing those screws on the...

    Brisco County Jr Peacemaker Grips

Just for comparison, here is a frame grab from the episode "No Man's Land". I bumped the brightness a bit to bring out detail, but otherwise it is unaltered. You can see the "parkerized" frame and hammer, and "blued" barrel, cylinder, trigger guard and backstrap. Gun blue is actually more black...

    Brisco County Jr Peacemaker Grips

Here is the final result, thanks to JOATRASH FX. This is a Taylors and Company (Uberti) "Gunfighter" Colt M1873 SAA 5-1/2" barrel with Army grips (larger than the Navy grips used on the TV show). I did the finishing wash (staining) myself, so I'm the one to blame for those imperfections. But I...

Done / Completed RUN IS ON Brisco County Jr. Colt SAA "Dragon" grips...

Brisco's gun was a Colt SAA with 5.5" barrel and "Navy" grips. I also wondered a lot about the color. Some shots show the frame as "parkerized" (non-uniform coloring), while the rest is gun-blue (more black). But, it does look very blue in some shots and I wonder if that is reflections of blue...

Done / Completed RUN IS ON Brisco County Jr. Colt SAA "Dragon" grips...

Correct, they are not made by Colt. But from what I'm reading there are two sizes of grips, so hopefully enough standardization there to avoid having to start from scratch for each pistol. The ones Joe made for me are for my "Army" grip Taylor/Uberti model and would probably fit another Colt SSA...
