Making a latex appliance stay stuck on your sweaty face?

Greetings All! The last time I wore some homemade latex appliances on my face (Jim Carrey Grinch costume), I had a big problem (after about 2 hours) keeping an entire side or two of the appliance stuck to my very sweaty face. I believe I was using that ProsAide adhesive at the time. Is...

    Sealing ends of plastic tubing?

E6000 is slowly sliding down the walls, leaving a hole in the middle. Guess I will try taking a heat gun to the end and sealing it, as suggested.

    Sealing ends of plastic tubing?

I just shoved some E6000 into each end. Letting it dry vertically. Guess we'll see.

    Sealing ends of plastic tubing?

Does anybody know how I might seal the ends of this plastic tubing? I'm working on a sci-fi gyn here for Hallowwen. It suddenly occurred to me that even though I don't have any EL wire... I do have a lot of glow in the dark paint and plastic tubing! Figured I'd drill some holes in the gun and...

Prop cigar in my mouth potential issues?

Googling suggested that Shellac is non-toxic: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Zinsser-12-oz-Clear-Shellac-Spray-408/100176744 I might try that, if I can't find fingertip protectors or a vinyl glove... in a clear color that I can paint the inside of.

Strapping an electric screw driver in-place?

Well, I redid my zip ties and did my best to make them tighter. They seemed really solid, so I went ahead and bolted the board assembly inside my leaf blower black plastic tube. Had a little bit of trouble getting the nuts and washers to work, because I kept wanting to leave some space...

Strapping an electric screw driver in-place?

I DID buy that red Loktite stuff tonight. Used it on the coupling nut and on the nut that's just "up-shaft" from it, the one that's closest to (but not touching) the black bracket. My plan is to keep those locked in place, but allow the ones on the other side of the skateboard wheel to be...

Strapping an electric screw driver in-place?

In theory, it's bullet. Once I get the stupid apparatus mounted inside the black tube, then I plan on adding accessories, but I'm leaning towards keeping it sleek.

Strapping an electric screw driver in-place?

Really? OK, cool, thanks! I'll hit Walmart early tomorrow morning!

Strapping an electric screw driver in-place?

Hmmm... maybe I should do what the guy behind one of my research videos did () : File the end of the threaded rod into a hex shape. (I'm imagining how much fun that must have been to pull off.) Then I wouldn't have to use the coupling nut at all.

Strapping an electric screw driver in-place?

Well, now I'm having trouble with the threaded rod assembly. Whereas hot glue was keeping the nuts between the blue skateboard wheel and the grey drum in place, it didn't work so well for keeping the coupling nut from advancing up the shaft when I'd activate the screwdriver. And then it got to...

Prop cigar in my mouth potential issues?

OK, so I bought a couple of prop cigars to go along with my Halloween costume. They have tiny LEDs in the tips that glow red. Anyways, the "wrapper" was basically paper-bag colored, which seemed kind of lame, so I painted them all with a darker brown acrylic paint. Now, these wrappers are...

Strapping an electric screw driver in-place?

propmaster2000, That blue part is a skateboard wheel, so there is a bearing inside there. And yes, that's a threaded rod running as a shaft, connecting to a hex coupler on the right and then, of course, the socket head is over that hex coupler. Yeah, I've had to put hot glue down to lock...

Strapping an electric screw driver in-place?

Jubilee clips... I was WONDERING if those could be bent. Thanks for the tip! I do have quite a few zip-ties on-hand, though, so that might be my cheapest way to go. And I'm going to have to experiment with that block-in-the-back idea. I was actually hoping to cut that board right before the...
