my favorite version of this. different than other jokers, and it just has a more natural feel.

what I have found, is that on something this huge you have stay focused. i.e. you have to make choices, like forgoing being a great portrait sculptor, or building the latest batsuit, in my particular case. And then after you basically have it finished, you will be spending several years...

well, here I am in boston, at the autorama show. finished this head on the road, lost my cell phone(camera), and couldnt take pics. but thanks to Jazz bassist extrodinare Ervin Dhimo, I got this one pic. this is probaly the best bust in resin I have done to date. wished I had more pics to show.

I will say that while having a 3-d scan of a person, or a lifecast may be a good ref. it really is cool when someone "nails" a likeness of that person with a facial expression. i.e. and that's sometimes a lot tougher to do. A lot of what I've done, and others do are a sort of portrait study...

it's getting there. still a ways to go. there are some things I wanna try to get more translucency in the skin. just hand painting this stuff, is a real relaxing thing. not tedious. my ref for heath w/ scars is...
