Oh I understood that, completely. What I was saying from the screen shot posted above, it looks like it was casted with a clear, tinted resin (yellow in this case) so no candy paint required. Not yellow anyway in this example. As it was mentioned above by Kylash, I think they made the armour...

I believe we've already solved it, have a read through the posts. EDIT: Took a screen shot from SuperwomanVlogs' video on Youtube, and we get a nice shot of the inside of the helmet. You can see the engraved details, and it does look to be tinted translucent resin, maybe someone else can...

So your thought is they cast the helmets in a clear tinted resin? I was thinking it was cast clear, and the colour was painted on the under side

I see where you're coming from now as well. The method of the cracks inside sounds "quicker" and "easier". Very tempting to try on a scrap piece to see how it turns out. I wonder though, would you get the same effect laying down the candy red first, then applying the metalic?

I was thinking though, how would you put the cracked base inside the clean mold to pour the clear resin, or am I just being slow?

Not sure if they're the same files, but someone is selling Wild Force pep files on Rangerboard... On the other hand these look great. I have a black mmpr movie file that needs unwrapping, it's just that I suck at it :( haha

Nice paint job man! I need to finish my Eric helmet, this is great motivation. Any tips for finishing.
