    Star Wars Multiverse

I started a new hobby outside of my model making, it still involves my Star Wars models, but I photoshop them into various scenarios, sort of a “What If?” similar to the Marvel series. Check out @starwars_multiverse on Instagram for more of my edits!

    LOTR Narsil Lightsaber

I modeled and 3D printed a lightsaber based on Narsil from Lord of the Rings. The design is based on Jake Bartok’s (IG @jakebartok) artwork, and Tehran Props (IG @tethan_props_) adaptation of it, but I wanted one to use the Savi lightsaber chassis from Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge, so I designed one...

    Pledge/Future UV resistance

Silky smooth. I’ve also coated another test piece using future, and it finishes beautifully. Which I could use it, but need something that’s UV protected. Might go with automotive clear coats instead.

    Pledge/Future UV resistance

I sprayed it over some Krylon base coat. No matter how many coats I put on, as it dries it finishes textured almost like luster photo paper. I’m looking more for a glassy look.

    Pledge/Future UV resistance

Alright, i tried out the Krylon UV-resistant clear gloss spray. Do yourself a favor, and never use it. It refuses to finish smooth.

    Pledge/Future UV resistance

Thinking of decanting and giving the Krylon Archival Gallery Series UV resistant clear a shot. Reviews say it resists yellowing pretty well, but I’m curious how it finishes. Im gloss coating pure white paint so yellowing and UV resistance is important. Anyone have any experience with this?

    Pledge/Future UV resistance

Anyone here know if pledge/future is UV resistant? Or at least have experience on how it’s held up over the years without yellowing or anything?

DerfOnarged's Bandai Perfect Grade Millennium Falcon FINISHED!

Thank you! All drybrush pretty much. Only time I used thinners is to erase the streaks that didn't come out close enough to the reference pics. I did use washes for all the maintenance pits though.

DerfOnarged's Bandai Perfect Grade Millennium Falcon FINISHED!

I actually did all the streaking on top of the base coat without the gloss coat. I did some tests on a broken MPC falcon I bought on eBay and found that the Abteilung oils stuck better on the base coat and resulted in better looking streaks with the darkness fading the longer the streak runs...

Bandai 1/72 PG Millennium Falcon (also the Revell Germany rebox)

Man, I remember when I hesitated to start too! It was my first model attempt since middle school, and I was so intimidated. I just said, “F#^+ it!” and went for it. Just took my time, did a lot of research on various techniques, and 9 months later completed my dream model. Couldn’t be...

Here you go! Don’t use the stock diffusers btw, I’ve never got the engines bright enough for my liking with them. Battery Powered Led Strip... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IN4ZH16?ref=yo_pop_ma_share
