I understand the internet provides a wealth of knowledge, but it is passive. I want a proactive environment. I have learned photoshop from the web, but have taught what i learned through thousands of hours to people in a fraction of the time when i focus on them. I do love paging thought...

I was at an auction of the largest private collection of LOTR items. I was able to shoot pics and video of a real wraith costume, a full size Uruk-hai, and elven helm, saurons helm, gloves, the witch king, sting, saurumon and galdalfs staves, and many other props. it was pretty cool.

heading out the door, but here's what im talking about. pic seems a little over exposed. This is the actual helm from the movie, under fluorescent lights.

I was with the real helm a few weeks ago, and it is actually very pitted/rusty. looks a few hundred years old.

cna i ask how you did the gauntlets/gloves? They are really impressive.

its ok, i come back to witch king build threads too. You doing faire this year? I recently got to hand out with a REAL ring wraith :) thought you'd like this reference for the gauntlet.

hey there, I have my own helm I've done too! id have his spike out and up to be truer to the witch king, but great job, especially with the time invested/techniques

Thanks bud! Next year will likely be a different theme, but yeah, a centurion uniform is something I've always wanted to do. A helmet will likely have to be added.

Oh, we definitely did have a good time. Something like 8 bars, a full day, going from bar to bar on bicycles! I guess i should post pics of the girls eh? My girl was cleopatra.. so of course, this was Mark Antony!
