For those who have the digi grade stilts (or others like them), how are they for extended use? I was told by someone that they are taxing on your hips after longuse (full day at a con). And how do they compair to ones that stop mid shin (or knee)?

As I was looking for materials for construction, I found a costume version of the pre vizla's saber on a costume site. Its all plastic, But! It can make for a ok build model. It even lights up, but the back light is blue. So next step will be to get it eventually and begin to "stress test" it...

Nice idea! Wouldn't a latch hooked mesh fingerless glove work? Rather then punching the gloves.

After reading through the thread I didn't notice any mention, although I may have passed over it, of Tyvokka. He is a wookiee jedi master, and the teacher of Plo Koon. He too had a wooden saber a bit more of a rough shape and wild design but from a picture I've seen it has a split down at least...

Recently I've been doing research for my d20 game, and I came across the Black saber. I was curious if anyone has made one, or has attempted to. I'm not electronically savy, yet, but I was wondering if anyone had tips on making one?

Wicked wook. Did you get past the bald line for the arms? And what weights of leather did you use for the armor/bandoliers/belt? And did the pizza guy drop and run?
