scruff up the surface a bit. Prime with spray adhesive and then mist on a thin coat of whatever paint when the adhesive is tacky. The trick here is control.

Did yours have the injection molding mark on the top of the dome?

There's quite a couple listed on ebay already and alot of sties taking pre-orders; but for those of us that want to pick it up in stores (Target/Walmart) what's the typical lead time from when it hits online stores to physical store shelves??? For the price, I wouldn't mind wearing this around...
