Anyone built a saber from the cheaper Graflex or another flash?

Rubies doesn't have the ridges on the side under the barrel that the actual pistol has. Any suggestions on a material to replicate it? Everything with that structure from the hardware store is too large and more expensive than it is worth.

Anyone have any ideas? It looks a lot like a minimal modified modern semi auto with a flash supressor similar to Leia's pistol in ANH.

When we did ours, we did a two part mold with a hole for resin at the bottom of the grip. The only issue would be the hammer, and you could put the hole at the hammer and pour a few smaller amounts of resin, turning the mold so it fills at higher segments.
