Just wanted to thank Dave for this wonderful kit, even ran me some black grips so I can make my own 'police' edition. Kit seen below, minus all the hardware, which is also included.

Hopefully I'll get it figured out, absolutely could make from wood for accuracy, but also love the idea of it all being 'silver'/metal. I will be looking into plating options for the whole thing, so it all ends up shiny and polished. Similarly, it's just as viable to paint the 3d printed...

That looks great, did you cast the guards and pommel piece in bronze? How is the electro etching for control, did you just go letter by letter?

Upper and lower guard pieces were drawn out in Illustrator, then sent to be water jet cut from steel. I took them to my bench top sander and began to clean them up, also adding a bevel to the thinner parts Still got a long way to go, and more filing, sanding and polishing on these parts...
