I got my can this weekend as well! Mine is a bit later in the run at #686, but looks fantastic. The shell on mine fits a bit loose compared to my Rylo can (that one has that nice hiss of air when you close it up), but otherwise I'm delighted with this one.
Almost makes up for not getting my...
Has anyone tried the steam toe fix for the rest of the upper? I'm terrible at sewing and I'm hoping to avoid tearing these apart to remove the foam. I was thinking of using the iron to flatten the foam a bit on the toe as well as the sides. I have the newer smooth sided shoes, btw.
Definitely excited for this! I already have Rylo's, which in my eyes is 98% screen accurate. But I'd welcome a 100% accurate one to accompany it.
I almost started making a new accurate shell for my Rylo, based on a video I saw on youtube (jurassiccollectibles I think). Glad I didn't start yet.
I got my helmet yesterday. I ordered from Hasbrotoyshop for $80 with free shipping. For that price, I really like it.
I know it's not screen accurate, but I'm upgrading from a $30 standard Don Post from the 90s. So I'm not complaining too much.
My only big complaint is how short the neck piece is.
I plan on keeping mine unopened, but I'm worried about it's condition in the long run. (looking at plastic bottles of pop from yesteryear on ebay, almost all of them have leaked carbonation and lost their shape.) So I'm in the same boat -- I'm not sure what to do.
In other news, my second...
Did my part by going on "the Twitter" and retweeting or whatever you call it. (Darn kids with their Twitter machines and texting boxes :darnkids)
Now if only I can get one... Hoping to see some show up in the JY.
Stopped at the gas station and picked up the only one they had. And of course it has a small tear on the bottom.
Then for kicks I stopped by the grocery store across the street. They probably had about a dozen, so I picked up another from there.
