This replica is meant to be another version of the many that Gandalf possesses I spent a lot of time in woods looking for a proper sized branch with a wavy top and this one was my favorite so I went with it.

This is my second pass on the cordboard, wire, and mache hands that are REALLY strong and coming along fine..I am making them more anatomically correct and skinnier with gnarled knuckles like an ancient old guy...The wires hold the weight of the sword really well fortunately (I tested them...

I am happy the sword does not slip within the scabbard like I wanted. The scabbard is lined on inside with the felt side of the pleather so it polishes the sword as it slips in and out.

I am now ok with the amount of wrinkles and am ready to insert brilliant blue glass eyeballs (on order) and then paint the face all age spotted with the airbrush and then attach facial hair (ordered from Germany!) and grey wig. I am also going to fine tune his expression like open his mouth a...

Boots: find some very used brown boots without to many machined parts..The bag is just a canvas satchel..consider someone hand making it like macrame. The wig can be purchased but then needs to be distressed and oiled up and aged to look like it hasnt been washed after a long perilous...

I built a version of GLAMDRING from scratch out of wood and metal tape...Really using the LOTR/HOBBIT Glamdring as an inspiration but going out on my own as well...trying to make it look cool but It is not a perfect replica by a long shot..If anybody interested please see my progress.
