Finally had this machined by Randy at Arm on Fire. He was able to machine not only the hilt, but also 3d print the Anakin AOTC grips as well.

I didn't think it was a scout commando. Where did I say that it was a scout commando? I just thought it was just a merc with a stolen helmet. But I wanted to know more about the character.

You park that far away if you do not know what you are up against. Traps, anti-spacecraft defense, a small army of ewoks, etc...

I enjoyed the movie, but I agree, I think the first half could have used more improvement. Also, in response to "Why was Vader more active in this movie?": I think we just have to accept that Ep IV, V, VI were made in a different time with different ideas. It is hard to stick with old ideas...

So either Sand is the wrong color or they weathered the crap out of those boots. I've been looking at people who ordered the Havanas and they look really nice. They seem to be closer to the color of what I'm seeing on the shoretroopers that have been on display.

It happens. It cost about $40 in parts to make. I drew up the blueprints and having another machinist try his hand at it. I'll post a picture here when it's made.

That's a good question. I put pillows in mine. I guess foam could work. I don't really have a good answer for that.

I don't think the screw goes through the U. I think the U is a flatter letter in which the screw passes under and through the ring. Also the ring is more rounded. Other than that I think you have a good start to making an awesome replica!
