Also do not wash with tamiya acrylics!. You need an acrylic gloss coat. and then you can use an enamel wash. BUT do not use terpentine or odourless thinners as they react with Bandai's plastic. I have found Humbrol's Enamel Thinner does not react with Bandai's plastic

Don't use that kit for reference. Its all kinds of wrong

I have found a safe way! I use humbrol enamel thinner. I don't know how available this is in the states but i tried it on a piece of sprue first and it didn't do any damage. I know in Japan they use naptha (Zippo lighter fluid) on their Gundam kits. If in doubt, try your thinners on the sprues!

Has anyone looked at the AMT/ERTL - Italeri 1/72 YB-49 kit? for the main wing? for studio scale that is. for your down scale I'm not sure a kit exists.

Superb job. Regarding the T-70, when you have the model in your hands it grows on you. A bit like the JJ Prise. Hated it until I built the model
