Also do not wash with tamiya acrylics!. You need an acrylic gloss coat. and then you can use an enamel wash. BUT do not use terpentine or odourless thinners as they react with Bandai's plastic. I have found Humbrol's Enamel Thinner does not react with Bandai's plastic
I see a lot of Oberth class details too. Especially the detail along the edges of the secondary hull. And the hatched ring around the bridge section

I have found a safe way! I use humbrol enamel thinner. I don't know how available this is in the states but i tried it on a piece of sprue first and it didn't do any damage.
I know in Japan they use naptha (Zippo lighter fluid) on their Gundam kits. If in doubt, try your thinners on the sprues!
Has anyone looked at the AMT/ERTL - Italeri 1/72 YB-49 kit? for the main wing? for studio scale that is. for your down scale I'm not sure a kit exists.
