What are the wires sticking out the back? Is it a rocket?

I apologize for coming in here late, and if i am asking a question someone else has already asked. I saw the trailer for the new iron man. I'm a bit confused at to what it is about. I got the fact that there is a terrorist and that iron man meets his match or something. What else is there?

I am attempting to build an iron man suit purely constructed of metal. No plastic or paper anywhere. This is my first time working with metal. The tacks are a bit sloppy. This is also my first time welding. I am still learning. Here is my current progress.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII Timothy Zahn books. It was a while ago when i read them. I rather enjoyed them. If they could do starwars movies based off of those books, it might turn out fairly well.... (I'm riding on a wing and a prayer here...)

This is a replica X-Wing. I designed and built it using pvc pipe and insulation sheet foam for housing. I used my hiking backpack frame so could wear the costume as a backpack, and I mounted everything on a bike I found in a dumpster. I successfully "flew" the craft on halloween 2010.
