Looking for Thompson M1928 measurement for build

Well, the site I've been thinking of has changed a bit. This site let's you download information after you join. https://www.scribd.com/document/162659868/The-Thompson-Submachine-Gun-Drawings-Index# Membership is free for one month, apparently. You should find some good information here...

Looking for Thompson M1928 measurement for build

I had built 4 Thompsons out of wood using real prints for fabricating Thompson sub-machine guns I had found on the internet. I don't have a link to the website I used, but I'm sure if you do a web search, you should be able to find what you need.

    Selina Kyle - Gotham

The first thing that came to my mind upon seeing these photos were leggings, the kind that dancers wore back in the 80's (Think "Flashdance".)

    i need help

On a rifle, my measure had been what my father taught me. Hold you arm bent at the elbow at a 90 degree angle. The length of the shoulder stock is equal from the inside crook of your elbow to your trigger finger. Iv'e used this on many rifle prop, and had been satisfied with the resulting...

    New Star Trek Beyond Phaser

So glad I did a search on this subject as I was about to start a thread inquiring about these. Saw the movie this last weekend. At first I thought my old eyes were misinterpreting these "new" phasers with the standard ones. It's OB10's impression that these phasers were from the U.S.S...

    Forbidden Planet Officers' Dress Cap

Hey, I also thank you. You've cleared some things up for me that I hadn't been entirely sure of.:thumbsup

    Forbidden Planet Officers' Dress Cap

I really don't think the crown is necessarily larger. There is a feature missing from this cap that an actual crusher cap has that may give that impression, however. Most military caps of this type have a "ribbon" around the cap between the cap bill and the crown. These can vary in height...

    Forbidden Planet Officers' Dress Cap

Since I do have a copy of the pattern, buckram is what has been called for the structure of the cap bill.

    Forbidden Planet Officers' Dress Cap

OB10 and I have been looking into this as well. He found a cap pattern from Vogue Patterns, No. V6044, version E. It would still need a bit of modification to get the true crusher look to it, though. https://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v9044?page_id=181

    Budget Cpt. Kirk Boots?

Check eBay. They have affordable costuming boots that should work well.

Pennywise The Dancing Clown from Stephen King's IT (1990)

Screen accuracy be hanged. That is plenty creepy.

I've never seen these items before, but I like how you've made them more sinister looking. Great work and keep at it.:thumbsup

    Neo's boots. The Matrix

I seem to recall this had been discussed before. Have you tried using the search feature?

    new to the community!

Depending on how true to life you want your astronaut helmet, you may be able to find some threads here after a search. Or if you just want something that's recognizable as a space helmet, you could go retro as I had. http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=95516&highlight=retro+space+helmet...

    Jessica Rabbit life size sculpture

I think I may have another reason to visit Scotland (and this bar) someday other than it being my heritage. :cheers:thumbsup:thumbsup
