is there a consensuses on the gauge? i'm never going to be able to duplicate the QMx model. i have a cool looking meter. is it blasphemy to use it?.

thanks Scifideity, we have an Industrial Metal Supply store here in san diego. Home Depot for copper wire. i'm using a cutout from a spent shell for the little cradle under the front coil. Tubedepot.com for the tubes. (the sizes of which you guys figured out, thank you)

i did. believe it or not with mostly wood working power tools. table saw and jigsaw and hole saws. and a metal cutting blade on my chop saw.

Timelordd those rods look perfect. i haven't had any luck finding anything similar. the smallest tubing i can find is quarter inch. did you fabricate those?
