I grew up in the 80's and did my best to learn the Claymation style of character building. Will Vinton was my idol and I got to go to his studio several times. It was great, but unstable work-wise. So I ended up working as a wax carver in a jewelry store for many years as well as a sculptor for Disneys Sweet Tart candies and other brands like Nestle. Since then I created a web site to provide clay animators a forum to network. I wrote a book on the topic, made videos (they are on YouTube now) and provide a sculpting service. I hope to make people happy through it, even if it's temporary. The process of creating things is why I do it for myself. But I always keep the person in mind who may view my work. Or in some cases, the person I sculpt.
