Pepsi is making Pepsi Perfect? BTTF

I don't know about everyone else, but Pepsi's site never loaded for me. It only started loading after they were sold out. Had I not also checked here, I would have never known it was even through Amazon. Also, most of the time the Amazon page was telling me it was "not available", even when...

Anyone painted a Cap shield with the intention of still using it as a sled?

That's more or less what I was planning, but I've been uncertain on whether I should strip the original paint off first to get better adherence. It might just have to be a learning experience!

Anyone painted a Cap shield with the intention of still using it as a sled?

I realize this question might be in the severe minority here on a replica prop forum! Most of us build and paint up props so they look nice on a wall or in a display case, they don't actually have to hold up. But I was thinking about trying to deco a saucer sled to look like Captain America's...

    Next Gen. Comm badge chirping?

My first thought was why not just rig up up the badge like a button with a bluetooth signal...have it trigger the sounds off your phone, a device most people carry that's already capable of projecting sound. But then I remembered the regulation-snugness of the TNG uniform (and lack of pockets)...

    MattyCollector "Mattel Hoverboard" discussion

On Matty's business model it would never work. They over charge, under produce to create demand, and reuse as many parts as possible. They may have paid licensing on the Ghostbusters, but one body got them four figures before they even looked at variants. That's why Ghostbusters happened. We...

    MattyCollector "Mattel Hoverboard" discussion

As a graphic designer, I'm going to say this is (probably) a difficult change... 1. Is the gap around the decal even all the way around? It's probably not be a simple matter of scaling up and down. 2. Scaling it up at all would mean you change the size of the stripes. If you're leaving...

Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Yeah, the guys making these know they can milk 'em for all they're worth. That's why there was an unexpected price increase when interest went up. I'd personally love a knockoff pair of mags so I don't have to feel bad when I wear them...but there's no way I'm paying this much for a knock off...

    MattyCollector "Mattel Hoverboard" discussion

Is there a designated day for a mass return? I haven't been keen on opening mine after the disappointment described by others. I'm considering returning 'em, and if I do I wanna make the most of that statement.

    NIKE MAG Knockoffs

This is part of why I'm surprised Nike didn't do a mass release. The costs of molding + a limited run = very expensive shoes. They've got the molds kicking around. I suppose that would clash with the whole "limited" thing, and everyone who paid thousands for theirs would feel ripped off...

Toy collecting is harder than it used to be (comic)

I apologize in advance if this is the wrong section to post art/comics. I write and draw the weekly web comic Nerd Rage. Reduced image, to view full size and more visit the website. It seems these days if it's not barren pegs the selection's already been picked over by someone else. Some...

    Meet: The Spy

Diggin' the intel case. I made by own bottle of Jarate (...Watered down Mountain Dew, in my case) which I brought to a party to pretend-lob at a friend I knew would be there as the Spy. Slightly off topic, but is that a bottle of Crystal Head Vodka, signed by Dan Aykroyd by your camera beard?

    My Twilight Zone "Invader" FINISHED!

This looks great. Definitely one of my favorite episodes.

    NIKE MAG Knockoffs

I don't know a lot about molding (or the type of clay you would use) but that tight grid pattern might be difficult with just clay. You would have to make sure the clay gets into all the groves really cleanly and that it doesn't stretch of distort when you pull the master piece out of the mold...

    MattyCollector "Mattel Hoverboard" discussion

It's not just the props. Everything Matty Collector produces seems to be in low numbers and scalp-tastic. I've seen a lot of complaints about the Masters of the Universe line. In the beginning, all you could do was fight your way through their website on release day and hope you could get an...

    NIKE MAG Knockoffs

That was my first concern. I'd hate to walk outside on a hot summer day and have the soles of my shoes literally melt to the pavement.
