Could be just about any type of short sword. Maybe a celtic war sword. Blades varied alot from maker to maker, just the basic size and shape put them into different categories.

The clasp is the same sort found on snow ski boots, I couldn't tell you which specific brand or anything, but thats a good place to start looking.

Seeing this pic, I just noticed something which Ive never noticed before. It looks like the details on the abdomen plate are seperate and glued on. Im no expert on trooper armor, but I don recall ever seeing/hearing such a detail before. Any comments on it from the experts?

I have a project in mind that would require working with a solid polycarbonate rod. I have never dealt with the stuff before and was just curious about some things. The project is a clear walking cane with a standard hook/crook handle. Im wanting to use polycarbonate since the acrylic ones out...

Anyone mind shooting some info about these suits? Pricing, where to contact, etc, etc.

As for the different types of weaves... Most chainmail uses only 1 weave at a time, at least traditionally, you can always mix and match them for some interesting effects. 4in1 is the standard used throughout the middle ages in europe, 6in1 is a little denser weave and takes a bit longer...

Very interesting, never thought about using PVC to do chainmail before. I cant tell ya much about making the rings using PVC like that, but if you need any construction tips on how to actually put different weaves together let me know, I make chainmail and know a bunch of different weaves...
