the mask stand you have. black, with what looks like a ratchet system for sizing or alignment? what is it? where can I get one (or 3)?

to stay cheap you'll be using polyester, and it's highly recommended you work with it in an open or well ventilated area, while having a respirator. Blaxmyth is right in that epoxy does not have the toxicity factor, but that comes at a price. polyester is the stuff you get at your local home...

Rondo has very little strength. Resin is not a medium to add strength. It's purely a bonding agent. Strength comes from from fiberglass cloth. Rondo is a nice option to easily firm something up, but it won't stand up to any serious beating.

What i do, (currently working on 2 deathstroke masks) pep file, paper model, "Rondo" on the inside to make it rigid. Resin the paper so that it's gets saturated and hardens. bondo on the exterior, sand (repeat until satisfied) make a fiberglass mold, to cast. I've never cast in carbon fiber...

Oneida Eagle bows makes that style of bow. I'd recommend finding a local archery store and scoping them out.

All good. i'm trying my had at using the PDO's to make plugs and then creating fiberglass molds. the goal is for the final part to have no paper or foam (except for padding) and only enough body filler to finishing (hopefully little to none) Your files are great. the supports you designed...

I plan on doing this same mask. I had a few ideas thought. I want to make the "eye patch" a separate piece and secure on, so it's not 'molded' but attached. also i want to see about making the back of the mask removable to easier wear. thought maybe embedding magnets so that it easily clicks...
