Thanks!
I only have the number of the paint from a local store
I've tried to find a color code name for that red in their car paint guide, and the only one I could find was Toyota Ginger Red
Now I'm not sure that's a 100% match. These colors are a bit universal for a lot of different paint...
This look really good!
The paint is a real pain to decide
As you said, a satin finish wouldn't be bad at all, the latest pieces I painted, I skipped the clear all together and I'm really happy with it
Truth is, if the Threezero would have been announced like a year earlier I would have ordered one of those instead :)
I started this build basically because I was so annoyed by the ridiculous price bump on the Neca figures,
not saying this route got any cheaper :rolleyes
Thanks guys! :)
Sorry about that, but I'll take it as a compliment anyway ;)
..........
I promise I'll look over the possibilities of at least some kind of kit.
Have to go through the inventory of molds etc
No problem
I don't have any plans on continuing on this in the forseeable future
I'm having trouble finfishing my current project so I don't see this getting any work before that, sadly
But if I have time I might be able to help you out on some minor stuff, wont promise anything though
Great work so far!
Thanks for the compliments and happy to hear my pieces came in useful :)
I did have the shoulder bell made once, but they got lost somehow when I got my new computer.
Still have some old harddrives lying around which might have them but I haven't had the time to really look...

Added the complete drill and mounted the tanks this weekend. I also started making the small buckles for the shoes.

Jumpcut!
Feels like it's on the home stretch now
All sewing is done and almost all leatherwork
I also added a charging port and buttons for the light. I'm using a standard powerbank so charging is made easy.
Everything is covered up by...
Re: Revived 1/6 scale Bioshock Big Daddy Figure project
Some more weathering tried out.
After adding rust and grime to the drill i dabbed on a layer of clear coat to get this kinda porous soaked iron look.
Looks better in person tha on camera
Wetting the bronze needs a different approach since...
Re: Revived ancient 1/6 scale Bioshock Big Daddy Figure project
Thank you very much! :)
Being that the parts are cold cast makes the weathering pretty straight forward.
I spray and brush on a mix of hydrogen peroxide, water and salt, wait for it to react and rust, add some grime and dirt and...
Re: 1/6 scale Bioshock Big Daddy Figure project
NECROPOST FROM HELL INCOMING
brace yourselves, gonna be condensed
I suck at documenting and posting my work, period.
But I have been working on this even if this thread has been pretty much dead..
Anyway I have some pics
Print, finish, mold...
Re: 1/6 scale Bioshock Big Daddy Figure project
Been trying different approaches to the cold casting process, mix powder into resin, dusting the mold, spray release, no spray release etc....
And I have got some pretty nice results, the most interesting being the helmet.
Also tried an early...
Re: 1/6 scale Big Daddy Figure project
Got some prints today, this thing's getting bigger and bigger :O
The rest was printed in translucent detail plastic and won't show up well on camera unless i prime it.
