Side view. The rounded piece seems a bit big to me. I'll trim that down.
With the flat bottom it's free standing too.
This side detail was glued in place and the larger piece underneath was then filed away until they matched. Happier with this.

Happy with the fit. As you can see the end plate holds the barrels.
Straps next. Fortunately I throw nothing away. I'm sure I've got enough webbing to finish this. Then the spring holder.
