One piece, two handle collars.
Getting closer.
I still get some good work out of the old Ohio forge lathe. Roughing out.
Laminated some of the remaining pieces of Fir for the turning blank(s) for the handle "collars" and the stacked spheres under the blade.
Cut out the basic shape on the bandsaw.
A little bit of templating to start. Used a piece of laminated Fir from Lowes and some translucent template plastic from Michael's. Draw one side and
