Green Lantern trailer

No doubt in my mind that trailer will be better than the real deal. Someone made this because they love Green Lantern - the studios made theirs because they love Green

A buisness that loves money... oh my God...say it is not so!!!
What has happened in the world
Damn you...damn you all to Hell
:rolleyes

That trailer is old, but fun. Love the wide range of films they pulled from.

Oh come now - even YOU can tell the difference between a movie and a commercial. I'm not saying that is what Green Lantern is - the toy line hitting shelves way before the movie comes out is a pretty good sign of which you will be seeing.

Well, Sometimes a commercial movie can work. Take Ironman 2. Great product placement even in the movie. The kid wearing the helmet and repulsor glove that stands off to one of the drones? I thought that was funny, and brilliant marketing. So don't be so quick to hate on all corporate driven comic movies. However...the more i see of Green Lantern..the less interested i am. *sighs*...of course, i'll go see it tho....spend $20-30 for me and the misses to see it.

Favs love the Iron Man character and has since he was little. He pours a lot of himself into those movies because of his appreciation for the character. The scenes you're pointing out were more of a kick at the commercialism of everything - but, yes, it is still a commercial movie - but not JUST a commercial movie.

so so impressed. Reynolds reciting the oath gave me the chills! especially at the end

What an awesome summer we have to look forward to!

Oh wow... that was underwhelming.

Judging by the amount of bad CGI, this is not going to be pretty. (And, I'm not one of those CGI nay sayers - when it's done right, it's just as good - if not better - than practical models).

I still have hope for a Thor and Captain America.

Stupid decisions were made that will make this movie a one viewing flick. OA looks horrible - the early production stuff was amazing - they even had reference to Krypton and now that it seems they've ditched all of the Guardians footage we won't get the scenes where they explain the universe and how it works to Hal - and that was some great writing. Seems they needed to make room for Ryan's little one liners that he constantly rewrote into the script. Damn! I'd been waiting years for this movie - like since i was 9 - and believe me there were more then enough people who wanted so badly to make this thing work - but I can tell which draft they went with just by the footage they showed.

It looks like ass.

But, hey, I'm not familiar with the character.

On the other hand, the Kiwi connections -- Marty and Taika -- give it that little something extra.

The CG body is kinda hit or miss. I was hoping that it would give him a cool alien technology feel, but just looks like wonky CG.

I guess when there is SOOOOO much CG in a film the duties get spread pretty thin and and the proper amount of attention can't be spent on everything.

All that said, there is some cool looking stuff there. Very classic Sci Fi feel which is nice. Never in a million years would I have thought a super space villain would sport a Eroll Flynn mustache in a modern film. Priceless.

I didn't think much to the first trailer...but this new footage blew me away!

We live in great times! Thor...Cap Am....GL....Avengers!!!!!! Come on, put away those petted lips and cynical attitudes and embrace the magic!

Seriously, who thought we'd ever see big budget movies of our childhood heroes????
