INCEPTION (Top, bishop, loaded die, poker chip, pasiv)

The bishop's hat has a slot. It's very narrow and looks fairly steep to me.
You can clearly see it when she sets the piece down on the table. You can even see it later when she shows it to Dom, but only just (in these low res images).
And the hat is relatively short.

Looking forward to see your result brimst0ne13.

That shadow did look like a slot, but can't see it when she took it off from the clamp, so I thought that might be reflection. And all the pictures taken on the prop didn't show it (although there is also a suspicious shade).

Thinking of getting my wood-worker dad to make me one of these when we work on my PASIV. Good excuse for my dad to get back into wood-working. It'd probably take longer to prep than it would to make!

Anyone know of a good alternative to the Halliburton Premier 4" for the PASIV device?

I've found a cheaper alternative.. it's SKB's attache laptop case. It's only costs about one third, but it's black plastic instead of aluminum.

Hope that helps.

Re: INCEPTION (Top, bishop, loaded die, pasiv)

New member here...informed about this site after a member saw these "Inception" tops I made... I am also new to the world of movie prop replication...I fell into it after seeing the latest Christopher Nolan movie...I liked it (not as much as 'Memento' or 'The Prestige') but I really liked the Top totem...and I wanted one.

I am currently learning to be a machinist...I did the CAD design for my top from memory and a couple of googled images so it is definitely not a precise replica but it's close and it does spin like a dream.

Hey all, new here, and those are amazing!! How many of them do you have?

Bump

Does anyone have any pictures of Eames' totem (the Poker Chip)?

And that Bishop looks great! I'm sure it will turn out fantastic. By the way, there is a slit in the Bishop, I can confirm this, as I have just come back from watching the movie for a third time. It's at about 45 degrees from the bottom of the circle and perhaps 2-3 mm in depth. Hope this helps in any way! :)

It looked like one of the forged ones from the bar. It was the same red. If someone can find that image that would be great!!!!

One of the scenes where they are in the warehouse planning the job. He is flipping it around in his hand.

I took this screencap from an interview video, hope that helps. It doesn't seem to have any white strip at the rim. Can't find this photo from any publicity still so this is the biggest I can do.

Yeah, I'm afraid my blurry screencaps from the movie don't even show it that well. Too bad it never had a hero shot like the other totems.:unsure

I think we'd have a better view of that chip in the scene where we first see Eames (where Cobbs goes to talk to him at the casino).

From what I remember we had a pretty good view of the chip when he goes to the cashier.
