Count of Monte Cristo Costume Help (For Wedding)

After more than 21 years of marriage, I asked my wife today if she would like to renew our wedding vows at the renaissance festival.

I have never wore anything to a ren fest before. I think I'm going to go with a Jim Caviezel type of look. Probably the look from the end of the movie (the revenge scene).

His sword is a Hanwei Scottish Court Sword.

But no luck finding good screen shots of the clothes he is wearing (gloves, boots, belt, pants, shirt/vest/doublet).

Any ideas guys?

This is what I'm looking for. I have just discovered that he is wearing fencing gloves. But have to figure out what style/period.

Maybe this just seems obvious to me...but why not wear something that fits in the actual Renaissance time period?

Since you say you've never worn any type of costume to a ren fair before, how screen accurate are you going for? Price range?

Museum Replicas might have what you're looking for, if you're going for a "close enough" costume. I know they sell a basic white puffy pirate/Nobleman's shirt and they had some black gloves that were kinda meh. Having not seen the entire movie, it looks like in the picture he's wearing drop-front trousers...yeah? Might get those from James Townsend. The vest looks like a black-on-black pattern so not sure where you could get one of those.

We've ordered lots of stuff from both companies. Jas. Townsend has the best customer service and MR is good about accepting refunds if something doesn't fit. Both might also have something for your vest. Good luck and congrats!
