A decent screen accurate replica of the very newest sonic will be available soon. Made by a company who specialise in adult executive toys, they claim screen accuracy to a level that it could be used in the show. Plus it actually will work as a screwdriver. Now you'll all have an excuse to carry it around. Ohhhh, it has sound too.......

well, for the money they saved on that website, let's hope they were able to put it towards R&D for the sonic!!! :)

Either way, glad to see there is a company producing it. Sounds like it will probably have a very attractive price tag too, which is always good news.

thanks for the link!

interesting. I wonder, if at that price, it will be plastic or metal. Hard to imagine them doing a metal one for that cheap, but who knows.

Heck, for all I know, the screen used one is plastic.

From the Article --"The Wow Stuff Sonic Screwdriver is a screen-accurate die-cast replica of the 11th Doctor version."

I hope that means greater than 50% metal. But with my luck it won't be that way.

It says it's die-cast on the info page, and it would have to be pretty sturdy to be used as a real screwdriver. I hope it lives up to the description. This company do have a good reputation at making quality bloke toys though.

Interesting- will be looking forward tothe pics and how it'll compare with the CO toy version due out this spring....

For that price I'm definitely excited. It is a cool looking sonic. It'll never replace Tennant's, but it does look nice. And I've always wanted a sonic with a real screwdriver, too.

I really hope they do Rivers sonic as well. It has been seen (along with the blue diary) on set in the last couple of days.

Not yet, hopefully in the next couple of days or so. It is majorly spoilery though as...

The Doctor is dressed in top hat and tails

If I could get the crackle paint there'll definitely be a way to get these. Worst case scenario you might need to know somebody.
