Hey all

a long time ago I used to have a thread called "New blaster family members", where I posted new additions to my -mostly blaster related- collection and recent builds.

Since I moved into a new house in spring 2008, this thread fell off the board BUT my efforts to enlarge my collection didn´t ;)

Long story told short...here it is again!
Please welcome the new members of my ever growing blaster family :thumbsup

And my most recent pride and joy...IG88´s blaster rifle!
Still a WIP, since I need to find and/or have some parts machined before I can proceed.

More to come... :cool

Strange thing...
I can´t add any more pics from my flickr account to my posts.
All I see are red "x"´s :confused...what am I doing wrong?

Re: Revival of the thread "New blaster family members"

Any of the Zam would be cool :)
Don't think i've seen any other replicas of it before.
What did you use as a base or is it custom made?

It has been done before....numerous times ;)

IIRC Kimncris did the first Zam rifle ever many years ago after EP2 came out. Many incarnations have been done since then, most can be found over at TDH.com (Zam costuming forum).

The base is a deco kentucky rifle, added machined conversion parts (got the from TDH), aluminium tubing for the barrels etc.

Re: Revival of the thread "New blaster family members"

I am a member on TDH but don't pop over there that often.
I thought the base might have been a Kentucky rifle.
Thanks for sharing your great pics and info Markus :thumbsup

Re: Revival of the thread "New blaster family members"

WTF???

Is it just me or are you guys getting red "x"´s as well??? :confused
When I posted the pics, all was fine...will try to upload the pics on photobucket instead of flickr (update see first post).

Re: ShowOff-New blaster family members

Awesome pieces Markus!
I didn't know they made an airsoft AR-7.
I just got a new scope for my Ponda Baba blaster (still not the exact one, but a little closer looking). I still need to build the blaster. I haven't been able to separate my mortar fin from the mortar shell.
No luck finding the scope ring yet.

That IG-88 rifle is incredible!

Re: ShowOff-New blaster family members

So good to see the lesser known blasters getting some love. The IG blaster is such a cool design...I can't wait to see it all finished! I'm planning on doing one myself with one of the kits I bought from you actually Markus.:)

That IG blaster rules! The more I look at Zam's pistol, the more I like it too. For some reason it's just grown on me.

Re: ShowOff-New blaster family members

Thanks guys!
I have a huge preference for the more uncommon blasters :)

The IG88-rifle was a long planned project, attached you´ll see another more detailed shot of the blaster in its current state.
Aluminium vented barrel jacket, resin STGW44 cast, MDF carved sholder stock, real V8 parts and some scratchbuilt items such as the scope and the detailing for the cocking slot.

I plan to make it "semi-idealised"...with all the weathering but no major damages as seen on the real deal. In addition to that it features a real SP scope and mount-ring.

Chris:
MGOOB had the same problem with his mortar fin.
In the ende he had to cut it off and drill it out Is yours welded to the mortar bomb?

Re: ShowOff-New blaster family members

Well, I think it's one helluva collection. I too think the IG-88 is going really well.

*edit: I also see you re-scoped your MR EE-3...nice.
