I've got these pictures of Luke (Courtesy Lucasfilm Ltd.).
Don't know much about their backstory so feel free to enlighten us Chris.
You can see the D-Ring although not very clearly here
However I do feel very strongly about the more round shape of the D (D-ish if you like)
and the width of the clip mine is 19,5 mm compared to the Tandyleather which is 16,5 mm

Furthermore my clip is satin gloss and the one in the Toe Pic looks even more dull instead of high gloss
as is the Tandyleather. In this last unretouched picture of my D-Ring you can see this hopefully more clearly.

Also attached the pictures of the custom made D-Ring mount by Dave (Pictures Courtesy dcarty) for comparison.
