AMT Snow speeder cockpit

Hi all,

I have been working on rebuilding the AMT Snowspeeder cockpit.

I have taken the details of the full sized filming set this time rather than any of the filming models.

I also have gone with only one pilot in the form of Zac ( rouge 2 I think) when he is searching for Luke and Han. I did this because I like to see the detial in the rear guner area.

I have hand painted it so far as my skills with the airbrush are still not that good.

Still some work in more painting and I will detail Zac the pilot a bit more to make him look more like him.

Any comment on how to improve the cockpit with more detail (Or correcting detail) and painting.

Looking good! One question - where did you get the pilot figure? He has a great face!

That actually LOOKS like the guy who found Han and Luke.:thumbsup

Looking good, and I really like those extra cockpit controls in the back. The real question is how did he get Luke and Han back to the base with such a tiny backseat?

He didn't, but I think you've got to hear the Radio Drama to know that. btw, for any Absolutely Fabulous fans, you might get some decent shots of Chris Malcolm there as well, instead of just suited up.

This sculpt is quite nice, nose may be a bit prominent, but you don't mistake who it is, and I'm going to say especially considering the scale.

Going to bloody him up a bit?

I was thinking it looked like Harrison Ford. Han Solo in a snowspeeder? :confused

Regardless, it's a huge improvement over the one that comes with the kit! thumbsup

Thanks for the comments guys.

The main body of the figure is actualy the original AMT figure. Including the base of the helmet. I just cut reworked it a bit.

The head was one I had done a while ago which was supposed to be a Han Solo. I didnt think it looked like him.

Well hopfully it dont look like him now.

I have made the nose more like the Chris Malcolm (Thank you Clerval for his real name) and aged him a bit with cheek lines etc.

The best way for me to see if the changes work is to photograph it anyway, so here is it so far.

Funny, Han Solo was my first thought too!
