Vacuum Chamber Specs?

I'm having a vacuum chamber made and although it's much cheaper than buying a ready-made one, can any one just confirm the following for me:

How thick should the plexiglass lid be - minimum?

How thin can the walls of the chamber be?

The pump to be used will be pulling 28lt per minute.

If you have one and you take just a minute of your time to measure the above, I'd be eternally grateful and will mention you in my Oscars speech.

Thanks

Your pump is the most important thing. You need one that will pull 29"Hg minimum to degas RTV. I have a 2 stage Robinair. It works good.

For the chamber, itself, I use a heavy duty 65 qt aluminum stock pot with 0.25" walls, and 1" piece of plex for a lid.

Depending on size it's really not that cost effective to make one... You can get a pressure paint tank for about $40...

Most people recommend 3/4" to 1" but it really depends on how big of opening...

How thin can the walls of the chamber be?

What material?
