Neckties!

I've noticed that tie on the Debenhams site before, and they've completely sold out within the last four hours. We Doctor Who fans are vultures!

I like it, it's like a brown version of the ricci tie but with mapley rose type leaves.
Which I suppose is appropriate considering Clara's around.

They might, they might not. I've been looking around seeing if I can find the page on the site for it, out of stock or not, so that we can get a good look at the design on it and then it'll be easy to draw out because that image Magnoli posted gives us the spacing of the pattern's repeat.
So if you could provide a link Corri, that'd be great.

Edit: Right, I think I found it.
I thought I could barely see a hint of brown detailing besides the blue flowers and then I saw this

and noticed that it does in fact have brown detailing.
Then I went on the debenhams site and badaboomba!

It seems like it matches up pretty well honestly, I'll keep looking in case I'm wrong though
Double Edit: May have jumped the gun a bit here because looking at this picture

The pattern doesn't quite match up for the tie I first said it was, but it seems to match up with this one

This picture is actually focused, so it isn't quite so fuzzy, and you can see that the brown bits seem to match up, I dunno, it's between those two

Personally, Cap, I really hope it's the darker of those two ties because that's the one I just bought when I realised the lighter one was gone :p

. . .

Actually, studying those photos really closely. . . I think it is the darker.
Both ties have the exact same pattern, but one of them has a lighter shade in the background. Thus, it's pretty difficult to tell which one David's wearing there, but to me it looks dark. I'd get in soon to buy one, folks! I doubt they'll last long!

If I just managed to get my hands on a real Tennant tie then I'll be over the moon. We'll just have to wait and see ;)

Can anybody in the UK go into their local store and buy out all the ones they have for people on the forum? I would definitely be interested in one. (the sold out one, I still bought one of the other ones just in case.)

I got offline to watch some football (soccer, whatever) and then messed about matching up the two ties by looking at the pattern and the spacing between the rose part of the design and the leafy branch right beneath it so, basically, it's the sold out one, not the darker one. :(
The other one has the pattern shifted to the right and up a bit (Look at their tips to see what I mean) which would prevent it from sitting in the spot it does on David's knot in the non fuzzy picture I posted.
So yeah, the other one will make a fine alt, but it isn't the screen used one. Any UK members who could go to their local Debenhams and grab a bunch, as Risu suggested would be amazingly kind.

I think the sold out one is the darker of the two. The other one is more of a red brown. The flower designs, while similar, are different, and different sizes as well. The wide shot of Tennant walking makes it very obvious that it's the sold out tie based on the scale of the flowers.

Whoa!

I just grabbed one of the darker ones.
Doesn't bother me in the slightest. It's going to be a piece of history now.

Still available, about $37 US

I've got one of each on their way to me, if somebody else hasn't by the time I get them, I can post a side by side comparison.

This is actually a really great tie, the colors match the suit very well. It's unfortunate that it's polyester.
