The Scorpio from Blake's 7

So many eyes on the Scorpio has to be a good thing.

I have a 1/180th scale Victory on it's way, great call on that one, I think I have all the other 'identified so far' kits apart from the 223 variant.

Looking back at the thread there is one thing we can lay to rest, Ron Thornton kindly answered a query on the cockpit/flight deck section, it was scratch built, not a kit bashed part.

That should save a lot of expensive mistakes with Airship kits! :D

I recently picked up a MPC Falcon, but it's in the US right now (I'm in Europe, shipping is expensive :) )
Once I get it I'll be making an as accurate as possible 3D model of the Scorpio. Ron will check it over and I'll use the kit parts to check the scale.
The plan is to make a set of acrylic parts that will form the base shape.

Another item that will be required (for the Scorpio's main drive) is a pair of old rectangular "driving lights" - remember them? You'd buy the lights and wiring loom as a set, then you'd drill holes in the chrome bumper of your Ford Escort and mount them in place!! I remember Halfords selling them, I think the brands were Ring, Hella and perhaps Lucas. They are still about, the modern ones (image attached) have what looks like a black plastic surround. I'm sure "vintage" ones can be found on eBay.

I finally received my MPC Falcon so I started to take a closer look at the parts used.
Here's everything I have so far put aside (Less the pieces cut from the main Falcon body)
