TDK Joker Mask patterned after mask from Batman TV show

I usually DVR the Batman tv show from the 60's for my kids, but I never watch.

This morning I decided to sit down and watch. During the "last time" segment, I see this.

I doubt I am the first to notice this but I thought it was cool and did not remember anyone mentioning that the new mask was patterned after a mask from the show. The image is a little wider than normal because I took the pic on widescreen.

Holy Snikes! That's a Don Post Emit Kelly Mask. It was almost used as Michael Myers Mask in Halloween. Creepy to know that that mask has a new link to another Iconic movie villian.
