Indy's Grail Diary...Black elastic band...WTH???

Every Grail Diary I see being sold/offered has the band horizonally across the middle. I'm watching IJ:TLC right now and every scene I see the diary in it has the black elastic band vertcally. So I'm assuming this is the best way to display it to be "movie accurate". Am I wrong?

I'm anal and I need help.

The reason that the grail diary is often seen with a horizontal band is because of the Archives reference photo... It has the elastic band positioned horizontally, instead of vertically like in the film. But yes, to be film accurate, you'll want to put it vertically.

Vertical all the way. But to be really accurate, you need to recreate the entire scene in 1:1 scale, starting with the diary. What are you waiting for? Stop reading this and get building!
