Hi all.

just got round to making a mrk2 helmet.

I cast it with aluminium cold cast and then buffed it within an inch of its life.
came out really well, just need to sort the eyes out.

very nice :thumbsup,

i never seem to get the mix right for the alu powders, can you give details on what type of resin you use and the ratio of powder please?

it looks pretty close to a metal finish, what do you use to buff it?

thx

that is INSANE......

no matter how you try to duplicate the look of real metal it just doesn't look 100%..that shell head looks 150%

well done indeed...

thanks guys.

theres really no sectret to the resin, alu mix.

its normal fast cast polyurethane resin, mix part a and part b then mix an equal measure of alu powder by volume.

then, sand, buff and polish with normal metal polish

Something I am curious about the with the helmet design. Does it look like the face is supposed to slide up to reveal Stark's actual mug?
