1/350 K'Tinga

Looks great Richard! Will there be paneling detail on the main hull or will that be accomplished with paint masks? Also, will there be decals included with this new kit?

Well not studio scale, but a large one.

Got all the major components ready to start the super detailing.

This picture... and the knowledge of things to come...

MAKES ME GIDDY!!! :lol

THIS IS SOOOOOO KEWL!!! :cool :D :D :D

Were those Morser Carl or Leopold (I always get them mixed up) parts on the original model? Never realized those often-used kits had found their way into Trek. Excellent repro in the smaller scale.

Thank you. The piece on the original studio model was a 1/72 German Leopold Railgun, and as far as the kit pieces finding their way into Trek ships, they were made by the same guys that made the Star Wars ships, so that probably figures.

Got a little more done.

Well what do ya know? :eek HAND CRAFTED SCRATCH BUILDING happening right under our noses! ;)

This shows that accuracy and quality can be done with a mixture of man and machine.

Looking back on that fine "hand crafted" bridge module detail again... and the two nacells with their added features and created parts? This is one AMAZING BEASTIE!!!

Wonderful work! (y)cool:thumbsup

Good question Rob. ;)

Star Trek TMP had the K'Tinga that Richard is doing now.

Star Trek VI TUC had the Chronos One, which is an very updated K'tinga with lit nacells and a tone more of photo etch detailing. :)

Richard..... duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude! (y)cool:thumbsup

Hey Richard,
Just out of curiosity, did you try the 1/144 Leopold kits that came out a couple years ago? They have the same parts breakdown. Just asking :)
