Here it is without electronics.
Here’s a shot when I started putting the electronics in today.
Here is a video of the tricorder working. I took it with my regular digital camera. It is not a digital movie camera, alas, so it is constantly refocusing and the sound is low.
It makes a ‘ratchet sound’ when opened. It has four different scan sounds that change when a button hidden beneath the graphics is pressed, and when closing makes another ratcheting sound just like in the show!
