This is the old ToyBiz model kit. Finally got around to finishing this up yesterday.

I used Alclad II chrome for Surfer, and less mirror like rattle can chrome on the board for some contrast between the two. Ditched the dorky stand it came with for the clear dome stand. I liked the way it turned out. Very Ron Lim looking pose.

Now I can get back to the SS X-wing I have been neglecting!

Very nice!! Is that from one of Alclad's rattle cans of their chrome?? I hadn't seen any up close images from someone other than Alclad so i've been hesitant to order any.

What prep work did you do on the figure before you sprayed the chrome?

Glue, putty, sand, primer, sand, primer sand.
Enamal gloss black on Surfer himself.
And I let it dry many weeks before coming in with airbrush with the Alclad II. I didnt know Alclad comes in rattle can now.

It's pretty good stuff, but a nice gloss black surface is the secret.
