This has been my favorite character outfit of all time so I decided to cosplay him for my first Fancon in Cape Town.
And It came out super amazing
1. I started patterning out the jacket by hand, I sort of messed it up by not having enough space for the body armor.
2. Pepakura for the helmet, Again a bit of mistake by separating the face-mask and back part which caused them to warp at the end.
3. Priming ready for duty !
4. Using an Old Arduino Mini to control the Helmet Lights with one button.
The problem is that in a convention the eye lights don't show so I need to find a much stronger solution.
5. Black Coat and I used red A4 gel sheets 5 stacked to get the Red I wanted.
Added a torch and Red LED
6. Edge weathering.
And Finished !
I also had a Minute Man hat for when I wanted to breath for a while.
The Outfit was a huge success for Fallout Fans, This will probably be my go too cosplay for events this year.
I will add the photo's later but I also had a Courier Bag I painted in Vault Tech colors which contained a Nuka Cola, Fallout Lunchbox and a Vault Boy Bobble Head.
Anyone have any ideas how I can make myself look "Larger" both tallker and the shoulders a bit more imposing ?
I'm thinking raising my boots up a bit and adding Shoulder armor.
Now off to the next Cosplay !
