Fantastic work. Is the lens a match for the screen used counterpart? Did you vac metallize the ring or was that machined from aluminium?

That is a thing of beauty. I made one that I could use as the surround to my Nest thermostat but never found a good source for the mesh. Where did you get yours?

Thanks. It's not the same lens, as the Nikkor Kubrick actually used goes for $2000. The ring was 2D routed along with the other parts like the speaker grill.

Well done, indeed! Fantastic work! I made my Hal 9000 on a shoe string budget with parts that were fairly easy to find. Now that I am done, I am happy with the results of my first attempt. But having a bit of OCD...lol... I will go back to the drawing board to find a lens and speaker grill that will come closer to the original prop.
